Developed from a collection of photographs I took that were two halves with contrasting features looking at the idea of focus.

3D Thread Work

Extract of an installation that progresses from the same idea of contrast and focus. I looked at how much you can change letters and text, before you can't read them anymore. I experimented with distance, focus, transparency and legibility.

3D Paper Tests

A paper representation of a close up analysis of a cheese grater surface and the spikes that make up the holes on it.

3D Thread Pyramid

Further exploration of 'grater surface'. I played with tension and strength and what happens when it collapses because the tension was removed.

Peg Print Patterns

My mono-print samples are from a larger collection in which I experimented with transparent inks and a simple motif to create vibrant patterns.

Documentation of the City

These are a sample from my city centre project. Using a Japanese screw punch and tissue paper I created a coded map documenting different elements of the city. The end result was a delicate and subtle pattern.
